introduction

most people save a good portion of their lives to buy a home.  my girlfriend and i are going to attempt to do it in one year; actually, eleven months now.  we want to buy a house next year.  up until now, my savings was about one thousand dollars and she just spent her savings to buy a car.  this blog is going to be a record of our attempt to do the impossible:  save enough money to buy our own home without sacrificing our current lifestyle.  this is probably impossible, but we are going to attempt to do it.  if it's possible, people will be able to obtain tips from this blog on how to do it.  i will also be posting everything i learn about the process of buying a home, which could be a big help to other people who have no idea what they are doing, just like us.  i've already learned a lot in the past few months, doing the prep work that goes into saving for, searching for, and buying a home.  wish us luck!
